Florida

Florida averages 300 days of full sunshine a year. The seasons in Florida often called "Hot and Hotter" are actually determined more by precipitation than by temperature with warm, relatively dry winters and autumns (the dry season) and hot, wet springs and especially the summers (the wet season).

Port Charlotte

Port Charlotte is situated 70 miles south of Tampa and 114 miles south of Orlando. Charlotte County incorporates over 100 miles of waterfront, some of the best beaches in Florida, the beautiful barrier islands of Gasparilla, Manasota Key and Don Pedro. Boating and fishing are one of the favourite pastimes with Charlotte harbour and the Intra-coastal waterway providing safe, calm waters for novices and experts alike.

The Beaches

Port Charlotte has some of the best beaches in Florida. Beaches on the Gulf side of Florida tend to be more laid back than the Atlantic, the sea is warmer and calmer too. Englewood beach just 15 minutes drive away is a beautiful 7 mile beach running the full length of Manasota Key. Boca Grande is also popular for beach goers, its also a favourite haunt for the rich and famous!

Golf and Leisure

FloridaThis area of Southwest Florida is a golfers dream! With no fewer than 21 courses within a 15 mile radius of the condominiums, you really are spoilt for choice. The standard of the courses is also second to none and average green fees are around $40 per round including a buggy!

Sport fishing is also a popular activity with the annual Tarpon fishing tournament topping the event calendar. Charter boats and equipment hire are plentiful.

For those who want a more relaxed boat trip why not take an evening cruise to watch the dolphins.
